Marcus McInerney is an experienced senior manager whose roles have ranged from Manufacturing Management, Project Management, Product Development, R&D., Sales and Marketing to Divisional General Manager and Managing Director. His experience has included responsibility for all areas of Strategic and Operational Management, with an emphasis on Organisational Re-Structuring and the development of new markets.
Career background has been in Manufacturing & Marketing based on primary degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. Experience covers both automotive and telecommunications manufacturing sectors and M&A work in related sectors amongst others.
He has
experience both of plant start-ups and business rationalisation with direct
responsibility for analysing strategic options and implementing change. An
experienced Project Manager he has much experience of turn-key
telecommunications projects both in Ireland and abroad.
His experience
also includes facilitating behavioural and attitudinal transformation relating
to leadership, conflict, influence, negotiation and change issues and
situations. He also has experience in the strategic transformation to
e-commerce in both B&C and B2B including experience with PwC and Enterprise
Ireland. During his varied career he has gained extensive experience in the
application of performance management systems in manufacturing organisations
and the Ford BOS (Business Operating System).
Much of his work
to date has involved travel in UK, continental Europe, central and Eastern
Europe, Japan, India and USA. He has worked for eleven years with ABB and has
over 20 years experience of doing business with such global blue chip companies
as General Motors, United Technologies, Ericsson, Yazaki and Delphi. He has
also led multi-ethnic and multi-cultural teams on successful projects both in
Ireland and continental Europe.
He is a graduate
of University College Dublin where he obtained an honours degree in Mechanical
Engineering and also awarded an honours Degree of Master of Industrial
Engineering.
